Joey Predham is a 25-year-old living with epilepsy and cerebral palsy. At the age of 2, Joey was diagnosed and has since had two brain surgeries, one of which left him paralyzed for several years. Ten years ago, Joey had a Vagal Nerve Stimulator (VNS) implanted and was the first patient to receive this implant in Atlantic Canada.

Since the Stimulator was implanted, Joey was sent to Sick Kids once again to see if another brain surgery would be an option. Unfortunately, due to high levels of seizure activity, another surgery would result in vision loss and other impairments, therefore isn't an option.

As Joey's seizures are becoming increasingly violent and debilitating, he is left with the need to replace his VNS. Unfortunately there is no funding for this procedure. That's where we need your help!
